Greetings all. My name is Alex Housley. This is where I blog.
I’m a child of the 80′s and enjoy playing with toys that neither Spielberg nor Lucas could dream of back then (although I’m still holding tight for the hover board).
Aside from consuming the spoils of this ever-accelerating period of connected innovation, I’m also a passionate hands-on developer of new technology and love getting involved in every part of the technical and entrepreneurial journey; to help people and computers communicate and do cool things, to hopefully make the world a better place (one zero one zero at a time). My other interests include connecting with good people, molecular and macro-gastronomy, physical endeavours and my interpretation of music.
I’m a co-founder of a London-based information and communications company called Total Hotspots – a service that helps people find wireless hotspots all over the world. I also consult for other businesses on all aspects of web and mobile 2.0 strategy and implementation.
My motivation for starting this blog is to share ideas, opinions and developments. In other words, to communicate more betterer! In the “real” world, I frequently attend networking events, dinners, debates and conferences; and I’m also available to speak at such events.
Please feel free to get in touch and involved – comment on my posts, drop me an email, link me in or follow @ahousley. If you are a member of the press, then don’t forget to add your email to the Total Hotspots press update list too.
Cheers!
Alex
